J.D.

Tall and beautiful, long and lean.
A face like a Goddess and a heart like a saint.

Her eyes they sparkled until I killed her spirit.
I wish I could go and make it disappear.

It was my fear and my stupidity, but that’ s
no excuse for what I have done.

     My life would be better,
     my life would be great,
If I had not been a gutless,
     Heartless fool.

Her life was shattered and is rebuilding again.
Her heart is there, her beauty too, I just wish
I could give her spirit back.

Welcome to Lit with this piece filled with regret. It just strikes me that it could use a bit of tweaking to sharpen the emotional feel ~ it just seems to be almost there, but.
