Her hair was as red as a flame
Her eyes, an emerald green
She stood on the tarmac alone
Watched by me, breathless and unseen
For so long we had written
Spoken, plotted and planned
Now the day was upon us
Destiny, as if written in the sand
Soon we rushed toward one another
Two souls becoming, at last, one
Our heartbeats merging and melding
Our bodies aching to join
And, later, holding each other
Sighing, satisfaction attained
Our vows re-spoken, remembered
We ache for situations to change
For this is only a respite
These temporary moments we dare
We know it can't last, but we treasure
The love, and the time that we share
Kimberly is a very lucky lady...
Lovely tribute from a truly wonderful man..
~Honey
