From mother or father,
Daughter or son;
Without thought or bother,
So often it's done.

Acceptance in an action,
Interest by a touch.
With or without passion,
Never quite too much.

Between one lover and the other,
It's expected everyday.
With many they will smother,
Their loneliness away.

Too often given without meaning,
Too often received but not returned.
When forced it is demeaning,
When begged it will be spurned.

Only when not rejected,
Good when it's accepted.
Better when not expected,
Best when I'm affected.

Planned for by the hour,
Dreamed of in the night.
Needed for the power,
It has to make life right.

Stolen in an instant,
A memory 'ere it's done.
Pleasure remains constant,
Although it's just for fun.

Under starlit skies tonight,
I quickly took my chance.
I turned your face toward the light,
And made my swift advance.

I leaned to you, eyes open wide,
This was not a time to miss.
As something stirred me deep inside,
Our lips met in a kiss.
