A battered soul
An innocent heart
Broken dreams
A life, torn apart

Crying eyes
Screams of despair
Aching for the love
That was never there

Childhood lost
Carried by the breeze
Alone in the world
Falling to my knees

No more tears
One final breath
Thank you for saving me
Thank you death
