I stand upon the windy shore
My gaze turned toward the sea
somewhere in that vast wide ocean
there's a mermaid waiting for me

They say that if your heart is pure
and you keep your fancy free
you'll find true love in those emerald eyes
at least that's what they tell me

But my heart is black as coal
with a fancy far from free
so i stand here on the shore
wondering where my mermaid could be

for all who needed more

Hope you find your mermaid.

Do you ever read your poems out loud?

Don't you feel the rhythm stumble when you do?

You have written far better than this.

Hope you find your mermaid.

Don't bother with the sirens.
