Little House

I close my eyes to go to a place
Where life is fair and there is no race
It's quiet and calm peaceful and clear
Never matters what time of the year
Somewhere tucked far, far away
To an old wooden house is where I long to stay
The most beautiful flowers you've ever seen
Grass waist high that's yellowish green
Huge weeping willows with branches that sigh
Home to the birds singing their sweet lullaby
In a hammock below with the one that I love
Fire flies glow as the pass up above
Cat tails surround the pound proud and tall
Grapevines so thick enough for us all
Warm breezes pass just before night
All dreams here are peaceful and bright
Crickets are chirping from the places they cry
And the frogs all croak as you pass them by
I don't want to go back to that world of pain
Too many people with eyes filled with rain
So though I may sit here right by your side
If you can't reach me you know where I hide
