the winter does look dark, cold and bleak
but the sun never goes away altogether
sometimes, the sun that shone on you sets
and you've got to seek a new one

it's a big world, with many hits and misses
we navigate our destiny ourselves
learning from our mistakes all the time
go easy on yourself, lady, give yourself another chance

only when you open your rosebud
can another sun give you a glance
