We just play blowin like wind.
I'm altered by that state.

Your music poems are my favorite. Favorite line: "Improv me..." Yes, erotic play should be like a jazz improvisation.... or like Coltrane fingering all the keys, hitting all the right notes on his sax in "Love Supreme."
This is the first time I have ever voted a five for a poetry piece. I am so very envious of your talent - I wish I could write poetry half as well as you could, but after a few failed attempts I think I am doing much better sticking to stories. Your writing is lyrical, moving, smooth. It flows over me like warm honey, spiced with tears and joy. I would almost declare you a modern Blake. Have you ever considered getting published? I would buy any anthology you decide to write. Again, truly amazing stuff.
I could do this! I DO so love your music pieces Ange! And I have to say I'm sorry, but you will now and forever be BoppyAnge to me! Boppy! I can see you being boppy w/ your kids, or going boppy down the street! I love it! Thanks!
I like totally don't get it, but it's gotta good beat and I can like dance to it.

and it's all your fault I started listening to music of all kinds again!! :rose:
pssst, this is a good thing ;)
...Ange's poetry and jazz references are a perfect blend. Knowledgable and talented, she weaves them into a beautiful fabric over and over again.
Yardbird in the pot
and The Hawk Blows at Midnight.
Honks splanky rills", "funked up"?
Are you older than you write, or just the inheritor of taste and a music collection?
that Coltrane tenor. Wonderful jazzy phrasing... well done. Love the mind altering improv and that funky chicken. We both have jazz poems today... mine's a bit of that white girl jazz.
good stuff...
jim : )
I'd like to hear DG reading this one, with a bit of low jazz in the background.. oh yeah...and hey, Im not even a guy, LOL
