Memories are mist-filled moods.
Reflected on the mind.
Mirrors, that distort the light.
Pure diamonds unrefined.
Illusions forged in silkened smoke.
To soothe the heart aflame.
A self-deluded cauldron's dream.
Which bears no lovers name.

They comfort and torment the soul.
A prism of emotion.
The truth's but a supporting role.
Within that dark commotion.
No mental locks can bind their power.
For they know who's the slave.
They leave at the appointed hour.
The mind goes to the grave.

They merge into another place.
Alike in their uniqueness.
Spirits with a human face.
That boast their own completeness.
