Tears on my face
Where once you filled my heart
Is now just an empty space
Letting you go
After thinking it through
Was not an easy task
But one I needed to do
Not only for myself
But done for you as well
Was it the right choice?
Only time will tell
Do not think just because
You are not here
That thoughts of you
Are not still just as dear
As you continue down the path
That you felt you must take
Please remember that hard choices
Are not always easy to make
I have my memories
I know you do too
They fill my dreams
Just thinking about you
Maybe one day
You will come back to me
Hope in my heart was what
Allowed me to set you free

Jennifer Cabout 19 years agoIt's never easy to let a loved one go but if it is true love they will come back to you, to claim something as yours you must first set it free.
