my fingers closing on emptiness
she was there
we were close
then in a moment she was gone
will she return?
i don't know
in unknown depths of loneliness
i sat quietly
biding my time
over her beautiful memory i fawn
like a long lost, waiting dawn
who has always known all along
that she will return
she whom i yearn
willl come back to me
as pleasantly
as a summer breeze
carresses my freackles in summer
