It is lonely in my closet.

I am the only one here,

scared and nervous,

yet curious and giddy.

Will there be light outside my closet?

'Can you do it?' He asks me.

'Are you sure?' He wants to know.

Yes, I answer, but not with you.

With dignity, caring, compasion and love.

Did I mention love?

It is with that one.

I might have said, with sensitivity,

but how cliche would that be?

I am cliche...

It is lonely in my closet.
