My Dream

I had a dream

Our bed was a warm nest of blankets and sheets
Our room was as strange and as eclectic as we
Our day to day lives were chaotic and wonderful

Everything was fun
Everything was a struggle
Everything took both of us to get through the day

Each time you cried so did I
Each time you laughed so did I
Each time you sighed I wondered why

Two against the world
Struggling towards the light
Fighting off the fears that we share in the night
Warm special moments till the break of day
Loving each one another till our fears fell away

I had a dream and it will be beautiful, one day
