A while ago I was walking through the projects
Before 2 a.m. was the time
Cause everywhere I looked I saw some men
Drug dealers on the grind

Everyone knew him
Frank was his name
Gangsta was his attitude
Hoes loved his fame

Island holidays he loved to go on
Just for a day or two
Kendra was his girl back then
Lisa was his too

Most appalling was that they were sisters
No one knew it though
One had one mother the other another
Phil was their father and he was nothing but a hoe

Questions should have arisen why do they look alike
Really it wasn’t hard to see
Someone needs to tell them the truth
To bad cause I don’t care as long as they don’t look like me

Understand that in my hood this how we do
Very much so. Oh yeah guess what!
We real in my projects and the
X-factor in this all is nobody gives a fuck.
