Petals softly gliding to the ground
Presence needed, never around
Nation's emblem takes to clear sky
Mind reflecting one word; why?

Echoes falling in the night
Voices hushed, whispering "You're all right"
Grey mourning dove takes flight
But he is not within her sight

Dew sparkles from roses' face
She will lose all time and place
Drops of water, surface swirled
Give anything to be his world

HAzing sun on distant horizon
Are all her sweet dreams come undone?
Pouring rain, warmly it fell
For her heart, only time will tell.
