Old Chilibook Trust-
It was a primitive thrust
in high society

Disheveled vegetable
Line up in a row
& complain about the weather
Eager to shed heavy skins

This & that
Tit for tat
Uneven quarterly
& Cut into halves
Weeping
Nosebleeds all round

Pale hands
Pale surface
paler eyes
-adroit through sufferance

Old chilibook trust
a must
Unholy recipe
Printed on parchment
& folded in 3rds

Brought out when the dial strikes
& Grandfather clock says
Sent of old spice

Do a chorus of nods
tuck you in at night?

Old Chilibook trust
was never us
Color me mushroom red
& purple

Muttering incantations
Over a crisper
Expecting good times
& Magik

Getting only
High wails
& crypticism
or so my gut yawns

Faithless endeavor
Rune speak
I'm sloppy 'round the edges
Rotten to the core
Spoiled meat

Sprinkle toe
In mush
*That’s a bit much*
-Can we entrust you
With Family secrets?

(Sulphur Quotient
makes for explosive
viewing & I bruise easy)

See there's a new potato famine
on the drawing boards
Castle diva

Weevil
in & out
Byzantine plots
Do not

-Can’t I have some more?

And we want to know
Oh yes
We want to know

Pale hands
pale surface
paler face
Adroit through sufferance

-Can we entrust you
with family secrets?
