All dressed in black
I stand above levels
Of broken dirt
That falls down but
Never touches what it covers

The flowers seep into the mud
And give hope
In a grim place that
Gives no life or love

If I've ever had tears
These are the only ones worth shedding

The grave falls into the ground
And is covered until a mound
We all stand to watch
And then die trying to forget

The flowers stained red flow in a yard of grey
That holds the souls for which we pray
If we lie here, its forever
Where we bury only souls without judgement or regret
Yet we dig these graves to somehow forget

But i only remember
Late December
With falling ashes and ember
A hollow space for you
My love
I saw your eyes staring at me from above
I close them now with dirt and dust
And more than every
I never want to remember
The look on your face
When i said its too late
