Coming home again feeling low
In spite trying, I got nothing to show
Why do I try, fucked if I know
Sit among the headstones, row on row
I think back to the first time we kissed
And all the chances you have missed
Then I go out and get myself pissed
Who ever said that love would be bliss

Kiss me goodnight honey
Cause we’re out of time
The years will sneak up on us
And rob us of our prime
I find myself believing that
Loving you’s a crime
So I’ll leave you in this world … and say goodbye

I sit out here, wrapped in my coat
Watching the lights on a Spanish boat
My mind filled with nothing of note
Words and rhymes, best left unwrote
Time is somehow moving to fast
Before you know it, the future’s the past
Wheels are in motion, the die has been cast
You were my first love and you’ll be my last

Kiss me goodnight honey
Cause we’re out of time
The years will sneak up on us
And rob us of our prime
I find myself believing that
Loving you’s a crime
So I’ll leave you in this world … and say goodbye

The bottle’s empty, the pills are all gone
Staring blankly at the coloured neon
Love is nothing, it’s just another con
So I’ll go downtown to find you a john
Oh come on honey, there’s no reason cry
Let’s go out Babe and let’s get high
Let me wipe the tear from your eye
You knew that one day I’d have to die

Kiss me goodnight honey
Cause we’re out of time
The years will sneak up on us
And rob us of our prime
I find myself believing that
Loving you’s a crime
So I’ll leave you in this world … and say goodbye
