It's been awhile since pink and purple
touched the sky; I've slept much too late
or driven sunblocked to work at dark o'clock.
The dawn warms our faces as we drink
coffee, like we have done all night.
Neither wants to sleep, but we must
so we hush talk into each others mouth's.
We make plans, love and life all morning.
It's only two in the afternoon when I wake,
alone, remembering that was yesterday
and that day is long gone, like you.

I loved this

You just gotta watch the sentimentality.

I remember

being young and making plans about love and life with my husband, now I make plans for the life I may have when he is gone ( when I am brave enough to leave) and time passes oh so slowly now. when we were happy it flew by. I ache to be happy and your poem reminded me of this. You express your sentiments well. I enjoy reading your work

Instead of:

so we hush talk into each others mouth's.

Suggest:

so we hush talk into each other's mouth.

Or:

so we hush talk into each others' mouths.

Don't understand the eighth line.
