the earth exhales spring
I drink deeply her sweet rains
stretched out upon the meadows
she blows sweet air from the sea
to dance across my face
brings the feel, her caress.

she lifts me away from my prison
to save me from myself, I soar above
and for a time the bile that is humanity
wains in me and the beauty is all that remains
a pure spring, far more than my senses can drink in
far away from chlorinated tap and Dasani

I am shown what purity was
and I bask in the untainted arms
the willow bringing the dreams
to forget all the sorrow
embracing the moment
peace in myself and in the earth
