So I think up lines I might try to get some fancy back
Most times I just play it out in my head,
But today I tried my smoothest…
“Hello, haven’t we met? Paris? Was it May - ’03? The ambassador’s dinner?”
(she seemed a sophisticated lady)
Quizzical look - she was trying to see if I was serious…
“I’ve never been to Paris.”
So I gave her my very best smile
”Neither have I, but I’ve always wanted to say that. Can I buy your coffee?”
