come in
stand around on hi-gloss
linoleum awhile
reflect with me

our days protrude
we have that common
opening too
you, chum of selective gender

your hair is nice
sweet chortle
crisp and tuned curtsy
in the blinding light

if shadows could cut
you would be singularity
no points to aim
only one huge swath

How cleverly...

...the scene is set with the colour and sounds included. Wonderfully visual.

You never fail to inspire me

with your humor and insight and the impressionistic canvas of your poems. I love this "place" and especially:

come in

stand around on hi-gloss

linoleum awhile

reflect with me

I have reflected with you and what I have absorbed has improved my own writing. If I really were a poem, I'd want to be a smithpeter poem. Really. :)
