yes we might long now
when icicles snap
and mere air bites
at our defensive skin

yes we might wish
for four months away
without remembering
eight months ago

swatting mosquitoes
kicking up dust
and the rain of rays
shining drought

from an unclear blue
sickenly sticky
Kelvin dense coating
of yellowish hue

watching mechanics
the tickle of life
slow to syrupy flow
under stubborn glow

and yes how we longed
for a clear breath
white powdered hills
like in our memories

of childhood ease
warmth and chill alike
in moderate balance
that never really was

or still is sometimes
in any turn of season
if we filter the dips
and cherish the peaks

wow... my first comment didn't take....

a chilling look at the seasons of a relationship and our reactions to them. Mid summer we long the cold of winter and then in winter we moan for heat.

well done,

jim : )
