THe presence of human kind
echoes like ripples in a pond.
We leave lines in the sand as our
tide rolls back out to sea
becoming, once again,
civilization lost;
joining those of the past
in the Ocean of history.
So unexplored, so unexplorable
like the depths of the aquatic abyss
only letting the greatest of moments
to rise into the present:
a small wave disturbing the calm of the surface.
