Twisted into skip rope
Buried under puzzle pieces
I sat staring at the closed door with empty button eyes
Maybe someday they'll remember me again
They'd comb my rope hair,
Stich together my torn up dress
They'd play with me again

Your poem is simplicity that works very well to make the reader ponder a while. Quite delightful.
