numb, shell-shocked
she is
reaching for the bottle
and I reach out to her
I try to
telling her stop, don't
but she can't
it hurts too much
for everyone not to be happy
she prefers to drink it away
to forget,
to try not to face everything
how can I help?
I tried to tell her,
but she is too far away
tell me
how to reach you, my love
how to help you hold on
for a few more days
