I drove it there
The top down
Wind in my hair
Not a care
Not a one

The sun was bright
Every day
And at night
I slept under the stars
In the car

It wasn’t planned
This end of something grand
But then
The ends are never planned
They just appear

The sunlight sparkled off the crimson hood
And there I stood
In the heat of the desert
Wondering how
I ever got there

The night before I left
I dreamt of snow capped peaks
And frozen noses
And ruddy cheeks
So here I am
In the sun and sand
And never there
Never there
Not again

great image, at least for me...

I love this, but I have a red convertible ('91 Saab) and love to travel dusty desert and sleep under the stars...
