I taste breathless
whispers
as lips
almost touch.
Eyelashes flutter
gentle breeze
across your cheek.
Skin not
touching skin
as each breath
becomes a wave -
rising,
cresting
breaking
rhythmic heart
in silence, silence

Waves crash
