RESCUE

This day has been too much for him
Heavy heart has put him down
Near lifeless limbs, the blood flows thin
Cheek pressed into the ground

The mind inside, for relief it cries
Flesh lies still, without a word
Wanting release from it’s earthly ties
The mind hopes someone has heard

Lifted from this perilous state
On a cushion of celestial light
Mistress of the Moon illuminates fate
To comfort and restore his sight

He starts to wonder why and how
She says be silent you need to rest
Time to walk in a new light now
You are what you are, no less

You see angels help each other too
She spoke of them as if I knew
Putting her finger to my lips
The angel my dear is you
