Thoughts take me to a place, my own peaceful place.
When I had thought I had lost all reason to go on.
When the pain was too hard to bare, the blackness seemed so peaceful.
To go with my memories and live in the past.
I did leave for a time, and pain stayed behind.
Waiting

That is how it was for me, when I returned after a long time in my place of peace.
I remember how close I came to going to the place where no one returns.
I found that pain has to be met, to be faced with courage and faith.
In time the pain retreats
Now I look at a beautiful day dawning or see a sunset that is so hard to colour.
To be able to walk in the cool air and see the moon so clearly.
I see this as my second journey.
I know I will be happy to move on when the next one begins.
And to remember this journey as having been one of beauty.
