Alone here in the dark I weep
I pray the lord my soul to keep
For sins in which my heart is seeped
My will to stay alive grows weak,
my blood does slow the pulse so meek
my heart is dying, while so bleak
remains each day, what should I seek
to end the darkness that does creep
into my essence, and robs my eyes
of joy in meloncholy disguise.
If the answer is so clear
then why am I still weeping here?
And then a light across my face
an angel decends on this place
and favors me her gentle grace
with just a touch there is no trace
of evils once upon my shoulders
her strength makes me so much bolder
reaching out for what I need
while old wounds in my heart do bleed
a new, for something oh so grand
and yet so simple just her hand
tears once bitter are now sweet
for her alone my heart now beats
and fearlessly I stride with you
into a life reborn anew
its almost too good to be true
I cried for help and fate sent you.
