(Written during period 6 while my students and I watched Amir's and Soraya's wedding in "The Kite Runner".)

Life is for the young.
The rest of us
Seem destined
To scrounge for scraps
Of love and lust,
Like dogs
Without owners.

Really good

A real contrast in style (though not quality) with Toccata.

I particularly like the last four lines (OK I know there are only seven). But the first three are essential as the base.

Every single word counts to build such a strong image.

Very nice, very sad

Not always true if you are open, observant and willing. Just sayin'...
