"Shamelessly in Need of # 122"
By
Wanton Vixxxen

The one thing I miss from my young adult bliss
is that of my silver free locks
Now in my mid years some curious peers
ask, "Is it yours -or achieved from a box?"

My once raven hair now shows signs everywhere
tufts and patches of silver/gray/ white
When the sun is right there; my head catches its glare
Rendering blind the poor bystander's sight

Then I know I'm in trouble as I race on the double
To get my #122 – "Deep Sublime"
Then from spotty Dalmatian with Clairol's creation
I morph into Black Lab one more time

Now when there's peer pressure when questioned I measure
out well chosen words in reply,
"I was born a brunette and to this day still yet
I remain so in spirit - and dye"

ROFLMAO

Our secret is out, our youth's from a box! Not really - you have to feel young to be young, the box just helps remind the stupid hair what the score is - sigh - but to be a real blonde would make it so much easier. Patricia

Beauty Sublime

A beauty sublime,

Miss Clairol so fine;

A light-hearted chuckle

well shared

Very clever!

As one who grows blonder every year, i loved it!

.

I always love to see something lighthearted here.

This is clever and the rhymes unforced and, unfortunately, I can relate to it.

I refuse to dye mine..I figure I earned every gray hair I've got..battle scars.

I enjoyed this a lot...good to see you back here.
