Spin your bed-head
into my arms
and float your thoughts around me.
I am here,
I care,
and there will be no judgment
from this transgressed soul
who has been in bed
with a messy head
full of thoughts of someone else.
Abounding in my heart
is tenderness, love
and forgiveness.
We have slept together.
You and I
share the same lies
in our heads
in our beds
we are won
over every time
we close our eyes
lie back
and whisper “no.”

mind games

Sounds like a full-blown fantasy ~ in bed with one - thinking of someone else.

Good one here ~ the question is, who's cheating with whom? Is it imagined or is it real? Is this a couple married to each other dreaming of the possibilities or a couple cheating on their spouses, denying what they've done? The possibilities are tantalizing, inviting an enjoyable reread.
