surface conversatons
     glances across the room
smile my way and give me a wink
…there must be something more.

laugh at my jokes and tell me i’m right
put your hand on my shoulder
kiss my lips and neck
…there must be something more.

hold me in the night
     call me “baby” and “sweet”
put me on a pedestal
…there must be something more.

put a ring on my finger
     and food on my plate
make love to me on Saturdays
…there must be something more

share your passion with me
but your dreams with your friends
love my body, not my soul
…where is my something more?

Your style in this one

Is quite similar to the way I structure many of mine. I like it.
