Sonnet: for Melissa

For all that's past, what you would like to share.
The present's sweetest hours(love's precious gift.)
Our future triumphs as a scorching pair.
All burden's brethren- allow me to lift.

Your dreams to regale me, with utter charm.
Free inner child to tease away distress.
Such gentle wisdom warding me from harm.
This nightmare banished by a soft caress.

Your fantasies! Oft times would be of me.
Hot ire for sloth! My disastrous vile trait.
One frowning moment: your sweet jealousy.
This trust and love... to nevermore abate.

These answers my fast pledge, hard-won and true,
should you ask me of 'what I want of you.'
