Wisdom says I am what I am
and how and who self evidentially so
and that but that
I am and know my self
she and he and it and
all and more and
then and now for
ever never will be done
amen.
And will not know for
all knowing cannot know more
without unknowing know
a former ignorance can
an equation be in a mathematick’s mind
growing infinitely fast or slow
the mind of sum am I or sum of mind

Contrastingalmost 8 years agoIt seems obtuse at first but I can project my own ideas easily into it, with no confidence at all that I am in line with your intention. Sophia seems so close to Sophistry that I leap to make that connection and de-gender-ize the meaning. The tangle of no and know and knowing points to Plato's theories of knowledge and how you must pass through the valley of the shadow of doubt on the way to gaining a true opinion of the truth...perhaps I put too much into this spare little jewel. Isn't that one of the great things about great poetry? Infused with our own light, it gleams? This gleams and it may not be my light but all yours. -C
