Click hereReally liked it. Witty, too. Great start to a morning for me!(: <3, Lillian.
The trees whisper of the past, sharing secrets - lovely rendering and an illustration of the forest ~ so dark and deep.
I’m pleased that you enjoyed the poem. Thanks for your kind comments.
Calls to mind, "If a fish and a bird fall in love, where will they make their nest?"

I am flattered that you visited the poem, read it and made time to offer your comments. Thank you! Perhaps to best understand my 'poetic licence/choice' of weeping willow and mourning, Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia might explain it better than I. I have always fancied a 'weeping willow' and the moaning cooOOoo-coo-coo-coo of a 'mourning dove' so juxtaposing the two seemed appealing.
I might as well cast my vote now :-)
