(Dedicated to Stephanie Briann Martinez)

Those tiny brown eye’s
look deep into the faith.
And her God-graced smile,
jaunts upon your playground.
She’s tidy and fashioned bright,
hat and dress, co-ordinated.
Her sense of calling to care
for all is highly sophisticated.

Her bounds were fences
she forthrightly pounced upon.
And each time she giggled,
we felt her angelic crown.
As bold as this lass…,
'twas I, that wished fair grace about.
As she stood 10 feet tall, face front,
against this coward lout.

She would not speak against.
You see, she’s truly human.
With all her hidden fear
cornered, alas poor illumine.
In my heart I felt there,
alone to believe,
sad disciplines dictum.
And yet she stood fast in the face of
berserk, stood the victim.

We have both seen that face
and we both endured the pain.
I, the living,
most humbly honor the missing rapture.
Her immaculate pigtails were
the armor of her soul.
Red balloons for her heart,
catch the Sun for her pleasure.

Forever and ever, my love will endeavor!
