The picturesque settings-
Conveyances of tone
Captures the sensuous movements
In the shape of moods
After the hands of creators
Blended in conceptual textures
In blossoms of art,
As if sculptured
Into fine figurines of collectibles
For the hungry collector
Ruminated
By the awestruck
Capability of the artist
To make a statement
In the abstract
When sipping on a café latte
In a coffee shop,
Where all the talent
Is gathered under one roof
In an independent movement,
Whether it be in a grunge groove,
Psychedelic madness,
A romantic state of pleasures,
Or that of eroticism
In sensual Kama-Sutra illustrations,
Or to look at a picture
Of the back of one’s head
In the position of looking down
Inspired by a soliloquy of thought
Being written in a journal,
Where the music in the background
Accentuates a feeling
True to the underground beat
In the breaths of souls
United in creative expression.

I know this poem works...

...because I'll be chewing on it for a while. I found myself going back through it, asking my omnipresent question of "why'd it get written like that?" I ask, and then I get it. I wonder, and see why.

It's not easy to engage my mind before my heart. Thanks for that DC!
