I wander through the field and see
all the bees flutter in the breeze.
A chorus of songbirds praise the day.
Darting dragonflies zigzag the pond.

A quartet of bullfrogs bellow
loudly upon a lilypsd stage.
To the marching of ants on a
mission of untold solidarity.

I see swarming gnats dancing
in the warmth of the meadow.
The noon sun glimmers on the
water like a crystal prism.

Mabel mopes as any dog
on a hot August day would.
Dad snoozes waiting for
a tug on his fishing pole.

As the tension melts away
I retreat to a shade tree
for some needed cloud gazing
AH! I love my summer daze.

A warming read

An endearing piece of poetry that warms your heart as you read it, could be a little tighter in places but still a great poem ~ J
