Beneath the light of life,
prone as a blown leaf,
eyes squint and splinter
shards of brilliant tints,
abstracted and refracted
under the glint of sun.

Spears of flaming colors
penetrate my eyelids and
fill me with warm brilliance,
and soon I am weightless,
an internally illuminated
palette awash in color.

I open up my mouth and
out streams a rainbow
back into the mix, into
the transparent shroud,
as my wish for someone
is instantly gratified.

I liked this....very tight...

And not a word wasted. The subject has been done to oblivion but you somehow bring a certain freshness to this often abused topic. Bravo!

This poem walks in the light....

it is better to give than receive, so I'll thank you for

this work of emotion and colors.
