She came into this world
Fighting for her very life
Shining bright like the sun
Like she'd never know strife

Things changed in her world
Home life wasn't good
Her parents couldn't stay together
Though they'd tried all they could

Eventually things got worse
She was told many untruths
Her mother tried so hard
What else could she do

The lies were told so much
Over and over to the child
Until even she didn't know
Her life had been so defiled

Her mother tried to talk to her
Tell her lies were unkind
She tried to see her daughter
Even that was denied

Soon things got even worse
The child needed saved
Her mother tried so hard
To undo the road they'd paved

Mother and Daughter
Reunited at last
Having to start all over
Having to get over the past

Though the road they've chosen
Will be so very rough
They'll make it to the end
With nothing but each other and their love
