she says the sunsets slay her
held twixt guilt and hope
I amazed agast abashed
to stand naked in this light
before the before of her
see see my shadow cast
on the canvass of her body
painting over umbers
I long to brush in
and brush lightly
highlight lit tip
rolling folding in soft soft curves
feather with the fading light
cinnamon laurel sage carodomon
and just a touch, a kiss
of cherokee
I watch this sunset take her heart
as is reflected inon her body
cloud play and thunder cap
rise to light and run away
heavy darkness comes to cover us
moments always go
but we keep them just the same
