Tarry The Dawn

With anticipation
I make known my eye.
Containing so much passion
I look to the Eastern sky.

I exist in darkness
but with hope I lay in wait
yearning for the dawn's caress
and the warmth of another day.

This morning I want to feel you
caress me when I rise;
Looking into your gentle and blue
I am reaching for the sky.

You the sun the sun that sets me free
a flower from a cell.
Your warmth is what inspires me
to return the beauty from myself.
