The rain manipulates my rhythm.
I race
to taste
your drops before they’re washed away.
Sympathetic spasm of lightening,
before the chorused moan we make with thunder.

Fingers claw soil
as I push,
bury myself,
burying you beneath me
as we make mud angels and spiral
primal
feral

The storm has changed us forever I think
as you bite into my shoulder.
