Pain

like ice shards

Into warm snow

I felt it

when I moved my neck.

Tremors

leaching to the surface

stifling the creativity.

Stress

the tension like hands

choking the air from

my lungs.

Doctors

admonishing the stress I live

through

without escaping.

Fear

creeping up my spine

making me wonder

if I can hold out

A little longer

or let him

take my life.

Pills

to swallow

to wipe away the pain

that sometimes

won’t disappear.

Death

A dream of yearning

to often dreamt

lately

too often the way out

wondering about life.

A feeling of

Pain and desperation

escaping when I feel

I may never leave

except

Ashes to ashes

Dust to dust.
