I wish I could say I felt
something, anything for him
but I don’t
even though I took off my clothes
laid back on the bed
relished a thought
and let his eyes wander
like a parasite
feeding off raw images
taking one tender bite
after another
was more than I could take
and all he had to give
a girl searching
for that elusive something
but let down time and again

curiouswife always there with the versilimtude.

you go grrrl

this one hurts. It happened to me. four years of marriage before she finally had the bravery to face what's in this poem. awesome way to capture it. I still need to brew and fester over it before I can make my side of the story into delicious cheese. sigh. thank you for constant inspiration.
