If you are like the French would say, "En saint,"
Forever giving, lovely through and through,
Your face, an angel's, red with cherub's hue,
Or graceful, poised ever and anon.
Until the scent might fade of flowered lei,
Reel in the bad, make light of darknessna
Each time your charm might threaten noble calm -
To which we gladly shout on high, "Si fait!"
How quick the heart can turn from prickled bough,
Ere when the eyes might feast on rose-filled ore,
But sight can turn the wise from wizened door
Escaping peace for lust to which we owe…
Some watch and quake at that which brings duress,
To which we say, "Look deep and find the best."
