THE BRIGHT FULL MOON OF SEPTEMBER
The bright full moon of September,
The one that you will not remember,
Above this blue Libyan Sea,
Is rising steady tonight,
The bay is full silver light,
And that’s what I want you to see.
To see once more Avra Bay,
To hear the silence say,
“Come swim, naked soul, in my beam”,
To know how far you could travel,
To capture your heart in this marvel,
I love you in whisper and scream.
